From the frontlines

Thank you for sharing your scientific impressions from the CSHL meeting you just participated in! The goal of this project is to develop regular meeting reports co-authored by trainees and early-career meeting participants; with your help, we’ll be able to more accurately capture and convey the scientific atmosphere of our meetings and small conferences. If you’d like the chance to be featured in one of these reports, please check out the guidelines below and then fill out the form.

GUIDELINES

  • Submissions are due by the end of the second day after your meeting concludes. If the meeting you participated in ends at lunchtime on a Saturday, for example, you have until 11:59 pm (New York time zone) on Monday evening to submit your responses.

  • A raffle for an Amazon gift card will take place immediately after that, and the winner will be notified via email.

  • We’ll choose 2-3 submissions from the pool to shape into a final report for the meeting. If your submission is chosen and you agree to work with us on the final report, you’ll have a byline on the finished product. As a token of our gratitude, you’ll also have discounted registration to one future CSHL meeting within two years’ time.

  • To increase the chances that your submission is chosen, be sure to write your responses in complete sentences and paragraphs.  We’ll be looking for common themes across submissions that can be woven into a coherent piece, and it will be much easier to pick out those themes if your ideas are fully developed and well written.

  • The final report will be posted on the CSHL Meetings & Courses blog, Current Exchange, and we’ll announce all authors via social media.
